SIG 12 Perspectives on Augmentative and Alternative Communication, June 2015, Vol. 24, 62. doi:10.1044/aac24.3.62
Greetings and welcome to another great issue of Perspectives. Barbara Braddock (guest editor) and all the authors (Billy Ogletree; Sandra Grether; Susan Bruce, Chris Brum, and Allison Nannemann; Susan Bashinski; Stephen Calculator; and Krista Wilkinson and Ji Young Na) have done an excellent job of covering augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and its function in working with individuals with different syndromes. Because Dr. Braddock has summarized the articles in this issue in a succinct manner, I would like to take this opportunity to continue to update the Special Interest Group (SIG) 12 affiliates on changes and exciting events as related to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's (ASHA's) SIGs and especially SIG 12.
