Happy holidays everyone!
Visiting with many of you at the ASHA Convention in Chicago was a real highlight of the fall semester. We had a wonderful Short Course on the use of low tech AAC with people who have developmental disabilities presented by Joe Reichle, Kathryn Drager, and Krista Wilkinson. Participants benefited from information that is theoretically grounded and practical in its orientation. We also greatly appreciated the presentation by Dr. Carolyn Wiles Higdon on AAC funding from the perspective of third-party payers. Both presentations were well-attended with DAAC affiliates and other ASHA members gaining valuable information. Thank you to all of our presenters and the AAC program committee for a very productive Convention.
