Mary Ann Romski, Pat Dowden, and I presented a panel on distance learning and AAC at the 1998 ASHA Convention. The session participants received an annotated list of non-archived teaching resources to enhance their AAC classes through videos, software, CD ROM, online sources, and newsletters. Instructors with limited access to AAC equipment will find ways to provide laboratory experiences for their students within these resources. In addition, the handout included an initial guide to information of distance learning.
You will find an updated version of these lists below. Division 12 is working to collect a more complete list of materials not available in books or journals since they are so difficult to locate. If you have items you would like added to the list, please forward the information to Yvonne Gillette The University of Akron School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Akron, OH 44325-3001 Ygilllette@uakron.edu
